What is the Difference Between The Akashic Records & Mediumship?

People are often confused when I say I read the Akashic Records. What does that actually mean? I had the same reaction when my mentor said that I would be able to read the Akashic Records and be certified to do so at the end of her course. I wondered, “How is that different from mediumship?” It is really not that different from mediumship at all.

I have come to the understanding that the Akashic Records and mediumship are both channels I, or anyone for that matter, can tap into to receive information.

The Akashic Records in Sanskrit means sky records. When I open the records, I go in with a clear intention to receive the highest and best information. Check out my other blog here about the Akashic Records if you want more information here.

What is the best way to receive information from the records?

I have noticed it is best when a client comes for an Akashic Records reading that they have specific questions for the records. These questions can be about work, relationships, health, or what is it  that they need to work on right now. This is not an exhaustive list of what can be asked of the records.

The records have a way of helping people “cut through the bullshit”, as I like to say. The information is lovingly presented to help you understand where the root of these challenges is coming from, so you may take action to address it if you choose to do so. We can even go further into the records and ask how to best address the issue.

How are Mediumship Readings related?

Mediumship is just another channel that we can tap into using our clair senses, such as clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), and claircognizance (knowing), to name a few. The “mediumship channel” is the channel we can use to speak to our loved ones or past ancestors.

I personally don’t love asking questions in the mediumship channel about health, relationships, work, etc, because the information is not always the highest vibrationally. This does not mean the information you may have received in a mediumship reading is not useful or true. This is just my preference when working with these channels of energy. It is always important, no matter what reading you are receiving, to run the information through your heart space to make sure the information feels right or true for you.

I can still access your loved ones (even pets living or transitioned) when I provide an Akashic Records reading. I trust my spirit guides to allow ancestors or loved ones to come through when they will be of service to the client that I am reading for.

Story time:

For example, a client had their transitioned mother come through in a reading to apologize for their behavior and choices when they were alive. This helped my client release some guilt energy they were holding in their body and learn to set boundaries with other family members.
