What is Trauma Resolution Therapy?

What is Trauma Resolution Therapy?
There are various forms of Trauma Resolution Therapy. They are all uniquely designed to address the energy of trauma that is living in your body. Some of these therapies include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), parts work (IFS or IFS informed), Ketamine Assisted Therapy, and Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET); this list is not exhaustive.
How does it work?
When you experience trauma. That experience, memory, or energy is isolated in your brain and the muscles of your body. This energy has no access to your coping tools or information that may help your brain process the trauma. What Trauma Resolution Therapy does, specifically EMDR, is identify the memories and beliefs that are associated with your triggers. First, the memory is desensitized and the belief around the memory (I am not lovable, I am not good enough, etc.), utilizing bilateral eye movements or another bilateral stimulation (ex. tappers or sound). Desensitized means that it is no longer bothersome, you are able to see the memory from a distance and not feel like you are in it anymore, and the belief no longer feels true. Then we move on to “installing” a new positive belief, such as, I am lovable as I am, I am good as I am, etc. Bilateral stimulation is done until the belief is “installed,” or it feels very true.
Why is your process unique?
My process is unique because I integrate energy healing called energy block release, with trauma resolution therapy. After a client’s nervous system is stable and they have a firm grasp of their coping tools, emotion regulation, and parts of self. Trauma resolution therapy can begin.
I like to start this process with an energy block release. I think of it as a scraping off of the old scab that is over your wound. Starting with energy block release allows us to clear out deeply embedded energy patterns from past lives, energy cords, generational/trans-generational traumas, collective traumas, etc. This list is not exhaustive of the energy channels we address. After the energy block release is complete, we will clear up any additional trauma energy with EMDR and parts work, if it is needed. I have noticed my clients are able to go through the EMDR process at a quicker pace because the energy associated with the wounding/memories feels lighter. They are able to see their wounding from a different perspective more readily and are in a better position to install that new, more helpful belief.
I believe my process helps people heal their wounding quicker, so they can get on with their lives. They can move from getting by or surviving to thriving. They can look at the world through a lens of possibilities, deeply in tune with their inner wisdom. Rather than looking at the world with fear and dread, detached from their body and intuition.
